The Prince and the Pauper is a 19th century book for all ages and would be an excellent addition to any book store's collection.

This novel is an American classic by Mark Twain and is fun, exciting, and suspenseful. When two boys with similar looks switch places in opposite lives, you can expect an excellent plot, as the sensitive poor boy Tom becomes prince, and has to deal with death sentencing and the possibility of becoming King in the nearby future. In another part of the city, the rightful Prince of Wales, Edward, is wandering horrorstricken through the poor parts of the city, and lives with Tom's abusive father and grandmother, and the sly need for begging and stealing to survive.

This book's theme will continue to teach many readers that it is important to be yourself and to never give up. It also teaches about society's false images of lower and upper-class attitudes.

Readers will love this paper jewel and find joy in reading its well written and exciting pages. An excellent choice to sell, this book already has inspired five movie plots and creations
