Will terrorism be a problem with Obama as president?

No, the US President, Barack Obama, is not a terrorist. His political opponents and their pundits have used "Guilt by association", a common smear tactic, to try to discredit him. They based the false claims upon his teaching in the same University and at the same time as did a known perpetrator of terrorist acts, Bill Ayers. As typical, the opposing politicians said this enough times that the misinformation has spread. Many people have not researched this and continue to believe the rhetoric. President Obama has never "palled around with Bill Ayers" as was often said, and he has never said he was a close friend of Ayers, as claimed.

What Barack Obama has said, and what investigative reporters have corroborated, is that the terrorist acts of Ayers were done when President Obama was 8 years old. Decades later, when President Obama was a professor at the University of Chicago, another professor there at the time was Bill Ayers. They were not friends then, either.

This false rumor was claimed only because Professor Barack Obama was asked to serve on the board of an education reform organization in the 1990s. Ayers was on that same board, along with many respected educators (and even some Republicans associated with Ronald Reagan). That was the extent of the "association".

The Associated Press has also investigated this and has said that the two men are not, and have never been, close: "No evidence shows they were 'pals' or even close when they worked on community boards years ago ..."

The New York Times reported that "...the two men do not appear to have been close. Nor has Mr. Obama ever expressed sympathy for the radical views and actions of Mr. Ayers, whom he has called 'somebody who engaged in detestable acts 40 years ago, when I was 8.'"

President Barack Obama, himself, has publicly denounced Ayers and his radical actions.

If it had been true, the rigorous vetting process and EXTENSIVE background checks done for Presidential candidates in the US would have disqualified his bid for the Office.

Please do not confuse the names of President Barack Obama and the late Osama bin Laden, the terrorist mastermind of the 9/11 attacks.

No, of course not. He is the President of the United States, and while you may not necessarily agree with him, he is a patriotic American who loves his country. Sadly, some political Talk Shows like to throw words like "terrorist" or "Communist" around when describing the president. While the hosts of these shows have freedom of speech, that does not mean what they are saying is factual.
