Zechariah 9 v 8 cannot be 'another failed prophecy' since, rightly understood, in the proper context, all of the prophecy recorded which ought to have been fulfilled has been fulfilled. In addition to this it is likely in the context of the passage that Zechariah 9 v8 remains to be fulfilled as verse 10 most certainly is in a future context a pre-condition of fulfilment being the coming of the Messiah Jesus Christ entering into Jerusalem on an ass as He did a few days prior to His crucifixion.
