the 4wd transfer case for an 05 is located near the center of the truck. Usually at the rear of the transmission. follow the drive lines toward the center of the truck.
Drop the driveshafts. Remove the transfer case with a transmission jack. it's heavy. Be careful. have fun realigning the spud shaft when replacing.

It will bolt right up as long as the 350 is out of a 4x4 itself. 4x4 transmissions center shafts are longer then a 2-wheel drive transmissions. THE SHAFTS HAVE TO BE LONGER FOR THE TRANSFUR CASES TO SLIDE ONTO.

Gear oil...usually 75w90 weight. I would use Royal Purple or any synthetic gear oil. That goes for both differentials and the transfer case.
