The transmissions are interchangeable. The 1992 and the 1994 models were equipped with the exact same transmissions and transmission mounts.
Yes, it will "bolt-up ". That does not mean "interchangable". Hope this helps ST
Trannythese Isuzu transmissions take dextron III with mercron
Yes
You need to drain the transmission to see what fluid it has. In the late 80's and early 90's Isuzu put either Gear lube or Automatic transmission fluid in the 5 speed transmissions.
They are not interchangable. The 87 is a 1st generation Escort and the 92 is a 2nd generation Escort.
I do believe that if it's a sealed transmission then you have to pull the check plug from the trans to check it its just like a fill plug believe its on the left side of trans.
If you haven't already heard, go to www.isuzupup.com. Join. Read, learn. The best single online resource for specific Isuzu information, and even parts. Tell 'em jmboyle sent you.
You can find the diagram for a 1992 Isuzu rodeo at the Isuzu website. There are options available to purchase a factory-direct Do-It-Yourself kit, with the diagram.
i can tell you that a rodeo should be the same and that at least in the 97 passport the transmission is GM the transmissions should all be the 4l30e it might bolt up.
I have an Isuzu NPR 1992. The oil capasity is 12 quarts.
1992 - 2002 Isuzu Troopers have the GM 4L30E transmission. There is no dipstick. There is no fill tube. The only way to add fluid or check the fluid level of the transmission is through the fill plug in the transmission pan. The transmission fill plug is situated above the fluid level of the "sump" area of the pan. Add fluid by pumping it into the fill plug and let any excess drain out. You'll know it's topped off when the fluid stops pouring out.
I just want to know what motor is interchangable to fit into a 1992 Mitsubishi montero sr, thank you.
