I've known two people that had 1995 Ford Windstars and they both complained
about the amount of repairs that they had to do to keep using them , and yet
I'm still driving my 1995 Ford Explorer and have been very satisfied with it
No. There crap! ========================================================= personally , I've been driving my 1995 Ford Explorer XLT for almost 15 years and it's been a good vehicle
i found a 1999 windstar which 175000 mil is that bed to buy. what make a milage bed or good. need to know befor buy it.
There is a child safety lock on the door itself, could be on the front end of sliding door too.not really sure though but good luck on that prob.
Not likely to fit - Ford stretched the driver's door in 1998 in a partial response to Chrysler's introduction of the driver side rear door. (prior to the Windstar getting one in 1999). Check with a local auto salvage yard, or maybe even a body shop - 2 good sources of information on parts interchangeability.
You can get a maintenance manual online or at the auto parts store forabout $17. It covers models from 1995 to 2003. It shows pictures of howto replace parts and how to do electrical tests to see if parts are good.
The 3.0 liter 12v motor is very good. I have a 1998 Windstar with that motor and 235,000 miles and still runs like new.
don't try changing the tranny by yourself unless you have a good deal of training you may be sorry?
so far everyone points to actuator blender failure but check for vacuum leaks first
if the 1995 ford contour is not running (transmission or engine is bad )a good price for it is $ 75 and they have to come to you and pick up the car.
Fix the engine
everyone should have a manual for their vehicle, and the library should have a professional shop manual available in the REFERENCE section...make copies of the right sections...good luck :)
A can of starting fluid is a good tester. The vacumn will suck it in & rpm will increase when you hit the sweet spot.
