Windstar's weren't built until 1995, so do you have an aerostar? or a totally different vehicle?
A 1995 Ford Aerostar either has a 3.0 liter or a 4.0 liter V6 engine ( The 3.0L has the engine oil filter on the drivers side of the engine and the 4.0L it is on the passenger side of the engine )
On a 1995 Ford Aerostar : If it is the 4.0L EFI V6 engine ( like my 1995 Ford EXPLORER ) it has an " O " ring for the thermostat , there is no gasket But , if it is the 3.0L V6 engine I believe a thermostat gasket is used
I am looking around to replace the transmission on my 1995 Ford Windstar and the information that I received from several different mechanics is that the 1995 Windstar transmission is a "one year" transmission so you pretty much have to get a 1995 transmission for a 1995 windstar engine. I'm no mechanic and really have no idea but this is just what I've been told... someone out!
In a 1995 Ford Windstar : Either the 3.0 litre V6 engine or the 3.8 litre V6 engine
Do you need the engine to be running when adding transmission fluid to a 1995 ford aerostar
The oil pump is bolted to the bottom of the engine block INSIDE the oil pan on a 1995 Ford Windstar V6 engine
My 1995 Ford Explorer has a diagram in the front of the engine compartment showing how the serpentine belt is routed . Does your Ford Aerostar not have that .
if you get the same 3.3 engine, 1993 to a 1995 is all interchangable
According to Kelly Blue Book (kbb.com), Aerostar, Windstar, and Econoline. Note that Econoline may be referred to as E-Series.
