Umm yes, they are the SAME SUV

Yes they are both 4L60E transmissions as long as they are both come from the same wheel drive Tahoe (2wd on a 2wd
NO. The bell housing is DIFFERENT. The 1996 and 1997 4L60E / 4L80E transmissions will not interchange with anything else.
Don't know the part #. But do know what kind it is. It's a 4L60E
No it will not fit CORRECTLY. You will need to get a 96 or 97 4L60E transmission so it will fit and everything will BOLT UP.
In 91 the Tahoe was based on the S-10 so no they will not work. The fullsize SUV was labled a blazer but it was based on the previous platform so no they will not work with the later C/K platform.
That would be the 4L60E transmission.
You NEED a OBDII engine scanner so you can go into the transmission mode and scan the transmission to see if it has any electrical problems / computer problems.
I have a 1997 chevy tahoe, and i get about 10 miles to the gallon usually
NO... The 97 year transmission will NOT even bolt up to the 2000 engine block. NOTHING under the year 2000 will fit anything OVER the year 2000
