yes as long as its the 6 cylinder and boh have to be either 4x4 or 4x2. can mix and match the two types of drive trains. only the valve body within the tranny itself can be swapped between 4x4 and 4x2.
Some parts on a 1991 Nissan truck are compatible with a 1994 Pathfinder. The alternator, battery, and other engine parts are compatible if they are the same engine size.
2001 pathfinder worked for me.
86-97 are compatible with same (2wd must be from 2wd, 4x4 must be from 4x4 and 6 cyl must be from 6 cyl)

I found the answer out by myself and it is compatible with both the 4 cyl and 6 cyl. Both are 4x4 and 5 speeds.

They are identical except for the 92 uses OBD1 and the 9+ use OBD2 (few more sensors).
