The 1993 Lexus ES300 typically requires three motor mounts: one engine mount, one transmission mount, and one rear mount. It's important to check the specific configuration of your vehicle, as variations may exist based on factors like engine type or modifications. Always consult a repair manual or a professional mechanic for the most accurate information.
700 to 750 rpm is normal. if the engine stalls, you may have to replace the IAC (Idle Air Control) Motor. they get stuck.
This engine (3.0L) is an interference engine so yes, the engine could lock up if the timing belt jumped.
I had the same problem before. All I hear is a click when I try to turn the ignition on. I just replaced the starter motor and never had that problem again.
Follow the upper radiator and where it meets the engine there is a housing where the thermostat is. Just remember when replacing iit to install it with the spring toward the engine. GoodluckJoeAnswerThe answer given is wrong! It is at the water pump, on the bottom hose. AnswerON A 1994 LEXUS ES300 IT IS ON THE BOTTOM HOSE BY THE WATERPUMP. ON THE 1992 IT IS ON THE TOP HOSE REMEMBER YOUR SPRING PLACEMENT. AnswerThe second answer is correct. The thermostat on a 1993 Lexus ES300 is on the water pump. Which can be found by following the bottom hose up to it. ANSWERthere are TWO different locations depending on the motor There are Two different radiators, the radiator with no filler cap has the thermostat on the drivers side @ the end of the motor and the radiator with the filler cap has it by the water pump
there is usally 3 o2 sensors 1 on the front of your motor looks like a spark plug sticking out and one on your exsaust and another one somewhere else look on google
If damaged it's the motor not the internal plastic gearing. Open the seal and search for the motor on Amazon. As for compatibility, very possibly the Camry. But the motor is with the IS300.
mark 4 supra, Lexus gs300, Lexus sc300 and Lexus is300
The ES300 uses parts from both the Avalon and the Camry. The motor resembles and uses the Avalon parts, while the body (brakes, rotors, calipers, etc) uses Camry parts. The best way is to call Lexus up and ask for part numbers on components you're replacing, and see if the Toyota dealership has the same matching part number. Toyota Parts Department cannot access Lexus part numbers, but they do share the same part numbers. Good luck
