The short answer is no.
The long answer is you can make it fit because it does bolt to the same holes on the engine. Driveline length will have to be changed a few inches as the 400 is longer than the 350. Also the "kick down" control on the transmission is different from model to model. It can be done, but takes a little work. The crossmember will also have to change location which may require drilling a few holes in the frame.
YES As long as the flexplate is the same size or has additional mounting holes. To add to this answer in depth. i changed from a 350 to a 454. the 454 had a th400 transmission and the 350 had a th350 transmission. (This was a 4x4 so we had to use the th350 transmission because it had a married transfer case)the th400 flywheel did NOT match the th350 torque converter. We installed the th400 converter and it fit perfect in the th350 transmission. I would make sure torque converter bolts to flywheel and as well fits into trasmission before attempting to install in vehicle. It is a huge pain to make the swap half way through the install.
YES. You may have to change the yoke on the driveshaft. You didn't say what size transmission that is in it now.
Pump assembly to case- (5/16-18) 15 ft/lb
yes!it.s the same size but do it with the same transmission
A 1996 or 1997 Dodge caravan or Plymouth Voyager with the same engine size will have the same transmission.A 1996 or 1997 Dodge caravan or Plymouth Voyager with the same engine size will have the same transmission.
If same size engine, yes.If same size engine, yes.
The typical backyard mechanic cannot do this, unless he adjusts bands for a living. You will need different size pins to mave the bands in or out. Special parts, special order only. Turbo 350 does not have bands while the turbo 400 does. Adjustment is on the left (I believe) side and is done in inch pounds not sure of the specs. Since when did the 350 transmission not have a band? Last time I was in one there was a band. I have found if these are slipping in either the th350 or th400 you may as well pull it down and do a rebuild before you tear something else out. In a th350 usually the center support is the main culprit Yes all adjustments are in inch pounds. If you need to know more contact me
if it's the same transmission it will bolt right up.
