They are both inline 6's, but they are slightly different in everything else. Toyota made the engine from the landcruiser to have more torque in the lower engine speeds, and less power in the higher engine speeds. this is good for 4-wheeling and towing and hauling your stuff around. The Bore is probably similar to the supra engine, but i'm pretty sure that the stroke is probably longer, and so the engine out of the landcruiser wouldn't be able to rev as high as the supra engine. The supra engine is made for power in the higher engine speeds, and doesn't need any torque really other than what's required to start up a hill that is paved. The engine revs faster and is also capable of producing more horsepower than the landcruiser engine because of its shorter stroke but increased design modifications
yes. you can swap them. they are the same engines. even the wiring harness is the same
Sorry no, the 87 is a mk3 and the 85 an mk2 very little is the same if any.
yes and yes, there are many forums and articles on google with this info, along with a good write up on suprastore.com
Toyota is the brand Land cruiser is the model prado is the sub-model So yes same car It is a Toyota land cruiser prado
hi my ac radiator went on my 89 Toyota supra turbo and well urmm the mechanic had to take all the dash board out all the way back so you could see the engine from inside the cockpit! so it will probably be the same it will be a bit of a get to do
It's probably the starter. Same thing happened to me (Isuzu Trooper) and I had to get it towed to a repair shop : (.
The 1993-1998 Toyota Supra (the non-turbo version) has the same brake pads as a SC300. The 2.5TT Soarer may not.
If it's the same as the 97 Supra: 2JZ-GE engine: With filter 5.2L Without filter 4.9L 2JZ-GTE engine With filter 5.0L Without filter 4.7L
No, because at the moment they are runing lower on cash compared to other car companies in the same trade.
With a little work you can fit a inline 6 fron a Toyota supra. you have to fabricate motor mounts and use a metric converter kit. I did this and now I run a 12.3 sec QT mile in my 1999 Malibu (same body and engin as 1998). If its a Tubro (7m-gte) then replace it with the turbo engine (7m-gte) If its non turbo, replace it with the non turbo. The Supras from 1986.5 to 1992 were all interchange able. In fact, the engines from the 79-86 Supras will bolt in as well, how ever they will not plug into your stock harness. The "M" series block is very very interchangeable. Also the 7m Series engine came in the Toyota Cressida of the same years....but only in non turbo form.
yes,the only difference is the carb and the intake manifold.both engines have the same mounting]
