Basically both are good at their places, can't be interchanged. But Java is best if we compare both because Java is much more secure, robust and portable as compared to C++ as a Java program is first converted to byte code and then interpreted. Also C++ program is compiled all at once but Java program is interpreted one instruction at a time thus making it more secure .
A good variable name is one that is clear, related to the data it stores. Also, you should try to avoid confusions with other variables.
There are no disadvantages as such since everything you can do in C you can also do in C++, with relatively minor alterations to conform with C++'s stricter type safety. C++ essentially inherits all that is good about C, and attempts to fix all that is bad without overly compromising backward compatibility, as well as adding object-oriented programming support, which constitutes the major difference between C and C++.
Yes. Note: This is generally a bad idea. Using delete on something you malloc'ed or free on something you new'ed usually will cause Bad Things to happen.
C: there are no methods in C. C++: no.
c is procedure oriented and c++ is object oriented & much newer.

C is a bad grade for anything in school! gotta work harder
Xcode and Eclipse.
A good open source IDE for C++ would be Code::Blocks or Notepad++.
Not without learning and practising.

No. C is supposed to be average C is bad, u don't go to college w/ average C, just saying
If you are a beginner, I recommend Absolute C++ by Savitch. If you are experienced, I suggest buying the K & R.
It's bad-640 plus is good.
Dev c++ is a good tool, but it's outdated. VS is the best for software development especially with shareware license.
it was mostly good but a bit bad. it was good for poorer people b/c they had a better lifestyle. but bad b/c Stalin was an awful man.
b+b+b+c+c+c+c =3b+4c
