I have never heard of a "Pond Rocket Goldfish" and I can find no listing for such an animal in any fish reference book. That fact suggests to me that someone has made up name for a fish they didn't know how to identify. If the fish is a basic goldfish shape and has a tail that is very long (about half to one body length) it is probably a "Comet"

Are shubunkins a hardier and more resilient fish to put in a garden pond than comet goldfish?

No. Shubunkins and Comets are about the same. A garden pond is the best place for all goldfish including the above.

Can the calestail goldfish and the comet goldfish live together?

Probably, but usually the comet goldfish will get all the food and/or the other goldfish will become miserable. This has happened to me before and I do not recommend putting them in the same tanks. Try putting the fancy and comet godlfish seperate!

What happens when a giant goldfish and a very small crawfish are put in the same pond?

When the crayfish ages, it has a chance of chopping your goldfish to pieces, and possibly eat it.

Can goldfish breed with sarasa comets?

Yes they are different variations/varieties of the same species.

Is goldfish plural or singular?

It is both. The plural form is the same as the singular. This is generally true of the word 'fish' on its own or used as a suffix. I don't think 'fishes' as a plural is incorrect, but it isn't commonly used.

How does a goldfish grow as a size of a foot when in seawater and still the same size when in a bowl?

Goldfish release growth-inhibiting hormones into the water they live in: the more goldfish in a smaller space, the less likely they are to grow. For instance, if I have a common goldfish in a 5 gallon tank, it will grow to about the same size if I had 6 of the same fish in a 30 gallon tank. But leave that fish alone in a 30 gallon tank, and it will grow larger. This is why pond goldfish grow bigger. But goldfish won't grow at all in seawater; they aren't saltwater fish.

What kind of fish koi get along with?

They get along with goldfish but you'll end up with babies that are part goldfish. I have them in the same pond and that's what happened to me. The main problem with putting Koi with other fish, is sometimes the other fish like to eat Koi.

Will koi fish eat goldfish?

Yes pond comets and other pond goldfish get along with koi, however koi can get over 24 inches long when a comet typically doesn't grow more than 12 inches- that's quite a considerable difference in size (which is why its often best to keep koi with other koi and goldfish with other goldfish).

What is the plural noun for goldfish?

The plural of goldfish is goldfish. It is the same as the singular.

What are good goldfish tankmates?

Goldfish should live with goldfish with the exception of weather (dojo) loaches, bristlenose plecos, or apple/mystery snails. In my 20gal tank, I had a small school of neon tetra (about 6 survived the ride home from petco), an albino pleco, one comet goldfish and a fancy goldfish.

What is the difference between a common goldfish and a carp-like goldfish?

The carp-like goldfish is the koi, a beautiful (and huge) ancient carp variant that came from Asia somewhere. The common goldfish are very commonly bred and sold as household pets, and have relatives such as comet goldfish. They're from the same family and are equally good. Koi should not be kept in tanks unless they are very young. Common goldfish are great starting pets, living in a wide range of temperatures (comfortably 60-80 degrees f). Basically, they are relatives in the goldfish family. The koi is often seen as a carp.
