Yes. A COMMON goldfish is extremely endangered. At most 2,000 left!
Some common breeds of goldfish are: the Black Moor goldfish, the Ryunkin goldfish, the comet goldfish, the common goldfish, the Calico Fantail goldfish, the telescope eye goldfish, the bubble eye goldfish, the pearl scale goldfish and the Oranda goldfish.
No. They are even sold as "feeder" fish.
there are three basic breeds: fantail goldfish, comet goldfish, and common goldfish. if you are getting goldfish for the first time, i would recommend common goldfish as they need the least care.
Common goldfish or goldfish.
Goldfish are very delicate and often cannot survive in the wild, but they are not endangered. Since Goldfish do not appear in the wild naturally and are a result of selective breeding, there is currently a good supply of Goldfish. Goldfish breeding is an industry itself that regularly produces rare and expensive fish. If Goldfish breeding were to stop, however, Goldfish would maybe become endangered. They would not die out completely but they would not be goldfish as we know them. After a few generations in the wild, goldfish revert back to their dark greenish brown scale color and begin to resemble the less delicate carp that are more fitted to survive. Some less durable types of goldfish would die out completely. Rest assured, our favorite fish is nowhere near endangered. It simply needs constant care and attention to stay that way.
Out of all the different varieties of goldfish the top pond goldfish would be the koi, the top goldfish probably of all time would be the common goldfish, and the top fancy goldfish would be the Oranda. The second most common pond goldfish would probably be the Comet, the second for the common varieties of goldfish would be the Fantail, and the second most popular fancy goldfish would be the ryukin. The third most common pond goldfish would be the Shubunkin, the third for the common goldfish varieties would be the black moor(although this technically counts as "fancy"), and the third for the fancy goldfish would probably be the Celestial and the Ranchu. To make this data more clear I've organized it into a list:1. Common goldfish2. Koi3. Oranda4. Fantail5. Comet6. Ryukin7. Black Moor8. Shubunkin9. Celestial10. Ranchu
yes they are endangered
Comet goldfish are the average pet, although you can now get funnier types such as (my favourite) Celestial goldfish.
No goldfish are not endangered species. They are doing very well and are actually doing too well in some areas. In many regions like Europe and North America the goldfish is an invasive species in rivers, lakes and streams. They don't belong in those bodies of water and eat all the food, leaving nothing for fish that do belong. This kills off the other fish, making some of them endangered or soon to be endangered. Remember never to dump your unwanted goldfish into the wild rivers, streams or lakes.
Nothing!
The common goldfish because its fins are not too delicate
Comet goldfish- they're the most common because they're "feeder fish." Comets also get most deceases.
