I graduated from Harvard Law School mcl, law review editor, many years ago. I entered with a BA in psychology, but had spent most of my college time on the school newspaper. There is no especially "good" undergraduate degree to have before going to law school. I would urge you to pick your major based on your own passions and interests. If you know now that you want to enter a particular speciality in law -- such as patent law -- then by all means take courses that would fit well with that speciality (such as computer science, engineering). It you are interested in international law, then mastering another language might be a good idea. If you want to focus on business law, some business courses wouldn't hurt. But if you are just thinking generally "I want to go to law school after this," then go with any major that you really enjoy -- which could be communications, English Literature, psychology, anything. This is especially true because so many people (like me!) eventually discover that they don't want to spend their lives as a lawyer. The two things worth knowing before you start law school are: 1. logic and 2. how to write clearly. For the first, I'd recommend taking one course on the subject. For the second, you might consider writing for a good school newspaper or taking some course that demands clear, concise nonfiction writing on a deadline. It will make all those long essay tests go more easily. But you don't need a particular major to attain these skills.
