A robot IS a computer, and vice-versa. The difference lies in where they get their information from. Robots get their information from sensors, stuff exisiting in the real world taking real world measurements. If you take those things away, then it will fail at whatever it was supposed to do.
Computers simply use any data presented to them however they were programmed too. and don't have any interaction with reality aside from the keyboard, mouse, and screen. And even then a computer will perform its job just fine without any of those things.
