I just finished watching a Nat Geo program on this and they really don't know where Atlantis is located. Several historians are working on it and have several locations that fit, but no one is sure. The most interesting location in the program was in Spain and is now a marsh. They think that the city was flooded by a tidal wave and they do know under the ground today are structures in this location. Everything else seems to fit the story as well.

The existence of Atlantis as a real place has never been conclusively proven. It is widely believed to be a mythical island civilization that sank into the ocean. Many theories and speculations exist, but there is no concrete evidence to support its existence.

∙ 12y agoSome say yes, but others deny its existance. There is no proof it ever existed, but a greek man name Plato told of it around 450-500 BC that it was basicly a fantastic island that sunk. Some say it is real, and it sunk. others say it is real, but didn't sink( I am not sure, but i think i am going to agree with this one the most, because i reasearched this myself, and used Google Earth, to find an island that pretty much has the exact shape of the fabled Atlantis in a probable location compared to Ancient Maps of Atlantis) and some say it never existed.

∙ 14y agoBelieve it or not, it actually really did exist! And they even have proof for it. In 1824 they found a diamond rock in the ocean and many believe it's from Atlantis
