Not usually, if used correctly, it can be good for you. I've used it for more than 6 months to help with my acid reflux. I used to take Prilosec, but have been off it for months thanks to aloe juice. Start with 1 ounce for a week and increase by one ounce each week until you reach 6 ounces. Drinking more than 6 ounces at a time or not easing into it can make your stomach sick. I no longer even drink it daily, only when needed.
If the taste bothers you, it can be diluted with water. I've also heard of people freezing it into popsicles. I buy it at Walmart but more expensive brands at health stores use a more select type of the plant and can get rid of a lot of the taste. But you will pay a lot more for those. You can mix it with other types of juices as well.

∙ 12y agoI'd recommend an original aloe drink that has stabilized aloe vera gel list as the first ingredient in the product label. That way, you can be sure you're taking in all the nutrients of aloe, not water.
