After looking at the Gates website ( they make timing belts etc. )
I found ( 3 ) 1989 Pontiac models that were available with a 2.0 L engine
The Grand Am , Lemans , and Sunbird and NO , IT IS NOT AN INTERFERENCE ENGINE
89-0 = 89
89 in sot-89 = 0
89
89
Your valves will bend and the vehicle will be inoperable/undriveable. If the engine is a non-interferance engine, the valves won't get bent. You could remove the timing belt cover and see with your eyes if the belt is broken. A compression test will also give you a clue, the compression will be 0 in all cylinders.
No, 89 doesn't end in 5 or 0.
The 0 part is the degrees at which it is set. TDC stands for top dead center. Your engine times at 0 degrees at top dead center.
If x is one of the numbers then the other is (89-x). Both these are positive, so x>0 and 89-x>0 or x<89. Then P(x) = x*(89-x) = 89x-x2 where 0<x<89
100
40° 0′ 0″ N, 89° 0′ 0″ W
89+x=x 89=x-x 89=0 Therefore, "No solution".
89 - 10 = 79
