How do you load a file?
From a flash drive, plug it in to the computer and select the drive it is being put in to open it from there. From the hard drive, click "open" and search for your file. From a disk, do the same procedure as a flash drive except it should show up as a CD drive rather than a file drive like a flash drive.
What is difference between external hard drive and external backup drive?
An external drive is the same as an internal drive just not installed inside the case. Meaning you can use it in exactly the same way as an internal drive. A backup drive is usually a zip drive designed to back up you hard drive and isn't used as a hard drive itself. It is usually in the form simalar to a floppy disk that the backup information is copied to. You can then use the backup disk and drive to reinstall all of your information from your original hard drive back to the hard drive in case of a virus or manually removing something that was needed for the system to run.

They both mean the same. Actually a flash drive also called as a pen drive is an USB device ( Universal serial bus). This is called so because, the flash drives are attached with the computer at the USB port.
How do you assign the same drive letter all the time?
Each hard disk can only have one Drive letter. You can't have two drives labeled "C" for instance. However, if you are asking about a USB device getting the same letter, then the best way to make sure you get the same letter is to keep that device always connected. Once you disconnect such device, then all bets are off. Say that you have for example an external hard drive (assigned to F) and a USB flash drive (assigned to G). If you disconnect them both and tomorrow (or even today) you connect the USB flash drive first and the hard drive next, then the flash drive will get the letter F and the external hard drive will get the letter G. This is based on the fact that the computer assigns letters based on what is already connected and goes down the alphabet in order from there on regardless of what you connect next.
Is copying your C Drive on to an external drive the same as copying it on to an external drive?
Of course it would. If you are copying your C Drive onto an external drive, then are copying it to an external drive, aren't you?

I had the same problem. I took the external hard drive to the place I bought and the tech guy did something I did not do. While the Computer Management console open and Disk Management selected and visible on scrreen he unplugged and plugged the USB, and the external hard drive appeared, then. I don't exactly remember whether the hard drive appeared in the white pane or the gray pane first. Also, once the hard drive appeard in one of the panes I believe you need to right click and click on either "initialize disk" or "start disk" and then you can format it. So, I had the same problem and the tech guy in the shop corrected as I explained. I hope it works for you, as well.

How do you get videos on your Xbox 360 on your flash drive?
The question is ambiguous but I think you can. You go to system settings after you have connected your external hard drive. Then go to storage, find the movie from your Xbox's HDD, and select it. Then i think there is a tab called "Copy" or "Move". When you select move, it will come up with a list of your Memory Units for your 360. Select the External one and then your movie is on your External Flash Drive. If you want to get a movie on your Xbox 360 from your flash drive. Just insert the MU(memory unit) and then use the same method and move the file to your 360's HDD.
