// I personally am running WoW on an X800. I have found that the best way to keep your GPU cool is to turn down the "View Distance" in the video settings. The framerate will go from 8 fps to 10-20+ just like that. (I have a P4 HT 3.4 ghz, so I guess it would also depend on your proccessor. The faster it is the less dependant the game is on the Graphics card.)
http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html;jsessionid=CBD1902C3DFAB2A411BF6AFA61117135?topicId=3168512309&sid=1 It would appear as though some people have got it working, however some people have burned out their card or processor while playing. No official statement is available from Blizzard regarding support for ATI x800
You should be able to run World of Warcraft with an ATI 2100, if you use the latest drivers for it. You might have to fiddle with the settings in the Graphics options of the game to get it to look good.
This laptop with its ATI Radeon HD 4650 graphics card will support playing World of Warcraft.
According to the Oblivion website you need to have an ATI X800 series, Nvidia GeForce 6800 series, or higher video card. Here is a list of supported video card chipsets. However you can still get the game to work if your card is not listed here. * ATI X1900 series * ATI X1800 series * ATI X1600 series * ATI X1300 series * ATI X850 series * ATI x800 series * ATI x700 series * ATI x600 series * ATI Radeon 9800 series * ATI Radeon 9700 series * ATI Radeon 9600 series * ATI Radeon 9500 series * NVIDIA GeForce 7800 series * NVIDIA GeForce 6800 series * NVIDIA GeForce 6600 series * NVIDIA GeForce 6200 series * NVIDIA GeForce FX series
No, it should work fine, an nVidia chipset is just the motherboards chipset, an ATi, SiS or Matrox card should work just fine. If you need any more help email me.
