Baltic Brown granite is one of those stones that needs testing. It can be found at low levels (12 to 13 uR/hr), but it can also be found at higher levels (up to 50 uR/hr). However too few slabs have been tested, so the current advice is to test all slabs before purchase. All stones have some level of Radon coming out. Baltic Brown could go either way, but I would bet it is most likely to be low. You have to test to be sure.
All granite is radioactive to a greater or lesser extent. The range is from 15 uR/hr and up, with 30 to 45 uR/hr being common. Links are found below so you can begin to educate yourself as regards the radiation hazards associated with granite building materials.

Yes because they look at the ammount of radioactive decay and they can determine the age of the granite. As the radioactive isotope decreases the non radioactive element increases. The less radioactive decay ammount there is the older it is.
No, radon is a naturally occurring radioactive element present in materials containing uranium and thorium (both of which are also radioactive). The most likely source of radon in a building is granite, either in the bedrock underground, in granite countertops and tabletops, granite fireplaces, etc. A microwave cooker is made of metal and plastics and contains no radioactive materials.
Well let me think..... aw yes its.....(suspense)........ROCK
Interesting facts about granite:Granite is one of the hardest substances in the world. The only thing that is harder than granite is diamond.Granite is actually radioactive. Since granite is a natural stone, it has a small amount of radioactivity to it, but it is so small that it poses no threat or health risk to humans.
