Generall new cars are comign with 4 airbag.
The clipboard will not open if you have a passenger airbag fitted.
The factory fitted alarm on a 2003 Corolla will not arm if the wires have been cut to the alarm. If the vehicle was purchased used, this is a good possibility.

A person can get a layout for this cars factory fitted alarm systems in the cars maintenance manual. It can also be obtained in the repair manual or with the original alarm system.
Unless your A4 was factory fitted with a switch or key (probably located either in the glove box or on the left hand side of the radio) to disable the passenger airbag, in which case it is very easy, disabling your airbag is a very expensive process... The only way to safely disable it is is by having a disabling switch fitted retrospectively. This will cost about £970.00 at an Audi garage. You can however put a child in a forward facing car seat in the front, when the air bag is in use. However NEVER put a rear facing car seat in the front seat of the car when the air bag is connected.
My vectra is a 1999 S plate and has a factory fitted immobilizer, I think that alarm/ immobilisers were fitted as standard the year after mine.

Disconect the electrical connecter on the seatbelt buckle under the seat. Don't disconnect the passenger seat one though as The passenger airbag (if fitted) won't deploy in an accident. The drivers airbag will always deploy.
