Cholesterol is an organic compound.
pregnenolone. Another term used would be Cholesterol.
Does cholesterol contain carbon? I'm not sure, that's why i asked this question into Google and there was no answer. I'm trying to answer it for a homework assignment. 1/15/13
The liver makes cholesterol.
Cholesterol
It is a lipid.A steroid. The most common steroid in the world.
Organic
Cholesterol is a member of the alcohol group, as proven by its distinctive -ol suffix. It is thus an organic compound.
the gum resin, which contains guggulsterone, a steroid compound. It appears to be effective in lowering blood levels of both total cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol.
Only sodium chloride is an inorganic compound.
pregnenolone. Another term used would be Cholesterol.
Yes, the human body synthesizes cholesterol in most of its cells. The starting point for cholesterol synthesis is a common compound, acetyl CoA.
Nert is a natural compound supplement used to reduce the level of bad cholesterol in the body. This supplement is used to replace over the counter niacin for the reduction of cholesterol.
"Estrogen" is not one compound, but a group of closely related compounds. They're similar to cholesterol in that both of them contain the four-ring structure called the steroid moiety, but cholesterol has a long aliphatic chain hanging from one of the rings and most estrogens do not.
They are quite different compounds, cholesterol is a tetra cyclic compound belongs to steroids (and also lipids) while stearic acid is a long chain fatty acid belongs to carboxylic family.
Only sodium chloride is an inorganic compound.
If a doctor or someone else told you that it's important to reduce your dietary intake of cholesterol, then they were wrong. It's true that someone should not go crazy and eat a pound of chicken or beef liver or a pound of shrimp or a pound of lobster with real butter all over it or a pound of bacon every day, but the amount of cholesterol one gets from a normal, meat-eating diet is a small percentage of the amount of cholesterol that person's liver (the liver is the primary cholesterol factory, but not the only one) makes on its own, plus the liver produces less cholesterol when cholesterol is consumed, therefore dietary cholesterol has no effect on ones total cholesterol level unless that person goes nuts and eats a whole lot of it. One more thing; although one large egg yolk does contain about 90 mg of cholesterol, multiple studies have proven that the cholesterol in eggs does not increase ones cholesterol. It was theorized that there was some chemical compound in eggs that prevented them from raising a person's "bad" cholesterol, which is vLDL, and LDL cholesterols. That compound was subsequently discovered and found to be the B vitamin choline and one form of it called phosphatidyl choline. Egg yolks contain lecithin, and lecithin is made of phospholipids including phosphatidyl inositol and phosphatidyl serine - essential compounds for the body. Finally, not only do eggs not raise someones cholesterol, they actually increase the level of "good," or HDL cholesterol.
The number of atoms of an element in a molecule is the number subscript immediately following the element symbol in the formula for the molecule. The number of moles of anything in a compound depends on the amount of the compound, which is not stated.
