Well, cheese has no carbs if eaten in moderation, and carbs are what brings up a diabetic's blood sugar, which is bad. So eating things with no carbs is easy and doesn't require a diabetic to take any extra medicine. while cheese doesn't have any medical advantages for a diabetic, it doesn't bring up their blood sugar.

I'm diabetic and i eat cheese very often :)

Cheese is fine for a diabetic, because it has a fairly low GI index, but if you're trying to stay on a low-carb low-fat diet, it may not be the best.

protein causes a slower rise in sugar levels, and most cheese has no carbs so it won't raise PG levels.

yes it is 100% ok for a diabetic to eat cheese as long as there is no other reason why you shouldnt eat it, but if it is going to be a meal you will have to eat some carbohydrates with it
