Dancing before the Lord in worship and praise is allowed. We must remember that King David in Psalms danced before the Lord all the time and sang. Dancing is often misunderstood in a typical non-pentecostal church because the typical conservative church doesn't understand that dancing before the Lord pleases Him! In Exodus 15:20, Miriam dances before the Lord in celebration of being protected and delivered from the hands of the Egyptian armies who found their fate in the Red Sea. God protected His people and kept his promises.
Biblical verses that prove that God loves the dance: (worship before Him).
Exodus 15:20: Then Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took the timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances.
Psalms 149:3: Let them praise His name with the dance; Let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp.
Psalms 150:4: Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes!
Even Lamentations talks that without dancing before the Lord, our joy is not full and our dance turned into mourning.
Lamentations 5:15: The joy of our heart has ceased; Our dance has turned into mourning.
Obviously, we must realize that a pentecostal church and any church should be in obedience to the Lord to His commandments. By not doing what He (our Lord) commands, we walk in disobedience and the Lord talks about this in Romans 5:19: For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man's obedience many will be made righteous. But in Romans 11:30, Paul talks about obedience and what it means when we obey our Lord God. In Romans 11:30: For as you were once disobedient to God, yet have now obtained mercy through their disobedience,
Just remember, Jesus is the reason for all seasons. Dancing in all seasons before our Lord in worship and praise is showing God just how much you love Him and how you worship Him!
