Eating too much calories not exersising enough
It doesn't sound like you are eating too many calories. If you are maintaining your weight, 1800-2000 is perfect. If you are losing, you can up your calorie intake. If you are gaining, reduce the number of calories.
You become fat <----Honestly the most childish answer. Obviously too much of anything is bad for the body. One of the main effects of too much eating will be weight gain yes, but the person who is eating too much will encounter their energy levels depleting, hair and skin turn to an off color and be unhealthy. There are many health problem that come from eating too much, such as blood pressure problems, heart problems, and even kidney problems.

It depends on how many calories you are eating per day, your age, and wheather or not you are trying to lose weight. If your eating 2900-3000 calories you should be fine, if your eating around 1500 calories then that's too much to burn.
