Whether your best friends loves you back or not the fact you have fallen in love with her means you are not ready to settle down and get married. Marriage is a serious matter without complicating things further. It is obvious you do love your fiance so even though it would hurt her it is better to call the engagement off (and no, she does not have to give you the ring back.) To marry your fiance would be only causing her future unhappiness.
