No, not necessarily. It all depends on the print on the flannel. Plaid print just happened to be most popular for women's apparel. You can find a lot of plain colors in men's apparel.
plaid is a pattern. and flannel is a type of cloth. so NO they are not the same.
The lining on the inside is different (: The Denim Husky has a black denim lining on the inside of it, while the plaid husky one has a brown/black flannel plaid lining. I very much prefer the denim husky than the plaid one though ^_^ it looks better.
