Is flood in Halo Reach

Yes and no... yes, because all the flood have died that we know of... but no, because there may still be more flood. watch the last movie in legendary, it shows you something, were not sure what it is... but there have been rumors that it might be the forerunners returning... but as i said, its just a rumor.

I just relized this. How do we know that gravemind was on that planet at all he could have been on the planet that master chief was drifting off to.

The flood is not destroyed.

All forrunner planets and instillations host flood.

The second halo ring (delta halo) is completley overrun with flood at present day,while The othe instalations stillhost flood.

The flood is some sort of plague commonly found on every halo encountered. The leader is called Gravemind. In halo 2, Cortana was taken from Gravemind when she was on the covenant ship high charity ( you will see it at the end of the halo 2 credits). and in Halo 3, she is recovered by Master Chief. though the flood is a lethal thing to fight, they are against anything forerunner ( in halo 3, the flood helps you stop the prophet of truth from activating the ark). The flood was said to be destroyed with a halo activated before it was ready, overloading halo and being destroyed.

on many of their planets they have made flood-holding facility's.

The halo rings aren't the only place that holds flood.

Play halo wars-something that takes place 20 years before halo 1, and there are flood.

So, there could be flood.

In one of the last levels of HALO 3 ( I think it's level 8), the Flood team up with you for a few minutes to get to the Prophet of Truth. After that part is over and the rings are deactivated, they go back to trying to kill you.
