YesOf course i is dangerous! There are a TON of reasons out there why. If it continues like this for the next 50 years, by 2050 the polar bear species will be extinct. all the local bay areas and homes near the ocean will be flooded with rised sea levels, and the ocean temperatures will drop dramatically to a below zero freezing point, the world will be causing us more hurricanes, thunderstorms and all kinds of disasters. yes it is very dangerous and little by little we are reaching that stage. and its our responsibilty to stop it right now. and we can only do it if we all do it together(and by all i mean the whole human population in this world)well at least most of all. or it will never work. NoFirst of all, I'm not entirely sure it is happening. Second, I'm positive humans are not causing it. Third, even if it is happening, and even if humans are causing it, the results are not nearly as bad as some would have us believe. Polar bears populations have actually INCREASED since the supposed onset of global warming. Sea levels are not rising any faster than they always have, and will not rise enough to cause any serious flooding unless the Antarctic and Greenland ice caps melt entirely, which will take thousands of years (maybe never, since the Antarctic ice cap is actually GROWING). The temperature of the ocean will not change appreciably, and if it did, it would go UP, not down. And there is no proven link between global temperatures and the occurence or severity of hurricanes, tornadoes, or thunderstorms. YesYes Global warming is very very dangerous. If the ice melts (which it is doing currently, which PROVES global warming exists then a lot of the nothern hemisphere will be flooded, and the Southern Hemisphere would flood if the southern ice melts. Also, a lot of animals would die out, and extreme weather like tornados, GIANT tidal waves and hail and lightning etc, would become more and more frequent. Global Warming could be the thing that exterminates all life on this planet.

The impact on human health has been studied and it is under study by diverse branches of Medicine and Medical Climatology.

There are different opinions on the effect of global warming on human health, for example:

Warmer weather means fewer deaths from cold weather. Global warming models all predict that the coldest areas of the planet will receive the most additional warmth. Also, night-time temperatures will increase more than day-time temperatures and winter temperatures will increase more than summer temperatures. What this means is that the coldest areas of the world, hours of the day, and months of the year will be quite a bit warmer, while the hottest areas, hours, and months will be only a little bit hotter. Therefore, deaths related to heat will not increase by much. But deaths related to cold will decrease drastically, and far overshadow the few additional heat-related deaths. But, even if equatorial, day-time, and summer temperatures increased just as much as polar, night-time, and winter temperatures, the net effect on human health would still be positive since, at current temperatures, far more people die from cold than heat. Global warming alarmists like to claim that global warming will cause mosquito populations to increase dramatically. They are particularly worried about the anopheles mosquito, which carries malaria and gives it to humans. They claim malaria will not only be a much bigger problem in the areas where it is a problem now, but will expand to other parts of the world, like the US and Europe. Here's the problem with that logic. Malaria used to be rampant in the US and Europe, just like it is now in Africa. So the mosquitoes don't need tropical conditions to thrive and spread malaria. So, why is malaria no longer a problem in the US and Europe? Because we eradicated the anopheles mosquito with DDT! Then, about the time we were getting ready to wipe out the mosquitoes in Africa, DDT was banned by all the developed nations.

== == The human body can make up for loss of temperature (cold) with enough consumption of calories, however, excessive heat can only be controlled by the body with sweat and therefore dehydration, one of the most dangerous conditions to the body. While a person can toss over as many layers of warming clothing as desired, it is impossible to take away anything beyond the naked skin, therefore, up to a point, cold can be controlled without detriment to body balance while heat cannot. Furthermore, cold may cause mostly pulmonary disorders and skin disorders in extreme situations, while heat may produce damages in most systems of the body and mainly in blood circulation and brain function. other health issues can occur like clogged arteries, blood clots and heart failure.

The medical climatology studies are also taking into consideration the changes in bacteria and viruses as well as insects acting as carriers of health disorders and have concluded that the changes induced by global warming will multiply the risks to human health. Beyond the health risks, experts in disasters and emergency medicine warn that natural disasters caused by climate changes are likely to produce and increasing number of victims.

Those of us who are past childhood and early adulthood probably have less to fear from the consequences of global warming and can focus on the short-term economic advantages of doing nothing. For us, global warming is not a problem we need to worry much about unless we are concerned to leave the world as a good place for our children and grandchildren to live in.

Yes it involves the Earth and we so obviously live on the Earth. If we don't start saving energy and going green, the Earth will be in for trouble.

Answer:

The fact that our planet has warmed over the past several thousand years has impacted our lives throughout the centuries. Greenland had a small Viking outpost on it that was able to support itself with crops and livestock that had to be abandoned during the mini ice age as glaciers advanced and consumed their land. The climate is always a factor in our lives.

The current situation, and that of the forseeable future though appears to be bright. Sea levels have been advancing at about 2 mm a year for centuries and are averaging about that same amount today, despite the predictions of increasing increases. The warming we have seen the past 150 years of just under 1 degree C has not caused major issues and is not really unexpected considering that 1850 was a low temperature period of the last mini ice age. There is nothing we can see, in the real data and current situation that causes us to be concerned for the future of humans. While global warming probably has a man made portion involved, it is not the end of human civilization. That does not mean that we should not be looking for alternatives to fossil fuels, but it is far from a near term threat to our lives or way of life. The real threat could be in doing something premature out of panic to the situation.

No one knows for sure just how dangerous global warming might be. This world has been 10C warmer in the past. However, at that time, humans were not such a destructive force. Deserts are moving like they did in the past. However, due to human activity, the parts of deserts that had become grasslands and then forests are not undergoing that process.

Global warming may or may not hurt most ocean creatures, but the continued acidification of the oceans will kill off all the corals and shellfish. Tropical fisheries are dependent on coastal mangrove forests. Those forests are being harvested for lumber and are not being replanted. Without the coral reefs for protection and the food produced from mangrove forests, many tropical fisheries have collapsed. The idiots downwind from the polluting smokestack looking out over the ocean cleared of mangrove trees blame global warming. Much of the blame assigned to global warming is a smoke screen.

On the other hand, at the present rate, it will not take long before all the tropical and temperate mountain glaciers have melted. The Greenland Ice Cap will shrink as will the West Antarctic Ice Glaciers. Many Pacific nations will be under water as will islands on the great barrier reef. Many people live close to the coast lines. High tides will destroy a number of their homes. A number of houses on the Gulf Coast of Florida will be destroyed by the Gulf waters during a Hurricane. Much of Everglades National Park will become part of the Gulf of Mexico. In New York City, high waves will wash over the streets and flood the subway system.

So, it is dangerous. It is not the only danger. We are allowing far worse things to be done to our environment.

It is the politicians that are claiming it is harmful. It is the true science professionals that agree that we do not yet know if it is harmful or not. If it is true and man is causing the warming that started 10,200 years ago, it is probably not a good thing.

Be careful of anyone that claims the debate is over. True science never uses consensus. It uses fact. There was a time that science experts said the planet was the center of the universe. A true scientist never accepts consensus. They are the people that buck that trend. Political people are consensus builders.

The fact is that we do not know if it is real or not. We have no idea of what is in store if it is real. We do not even have a good handle on how the sun plays a factor in the issue according to the IPCC and REAL science experts.

Believe neither side. The truth is probably in the middle somewhere, but we simply do not know yet.

Global warming is a threat to mankind. If global warming continues, it will change the earth and it's climate so much, mankind won't be able to survive because it is not used to the new kind of environment.

The tolerance of human swine influenza is higher and less serious in terms of danger to health than global warming. Global warming is the increase in the avergae temperature of the Earth's near-surface air and oceans since the mid-20th century and its projected continuation. Swine influenza affects a vast population of the humans and clearly does not have any relation to global warming as yet.
