If a person is fearful for their life (a woman hiding from her husband because he is abusive) and that husband asks where she is then you may have to tell a lie to protect her, but it would be advisable to give her good advice and have her seek out protection at the Woman's Abuse Center. You have to be the judge of whether it is right to protect a person, but crime is not one of them.
