It's tough to accurately call this wrong, but it is definitely abnormal. By the time a child is becoming a teenager, he or she should be independent enough to want some privacy. Unless money is an issue, limiting you to fewer rooms or beds, it would be beneficial to both you and your child to separate your sleeping arrangements.
Not doing so could limit your child's growth and development, and this could lead to issues later in his life that make it tough for him to develop close relationships with his peers and love interests. It may be tough for a loving parent to let their child go, but in the long run, it is necessary.
