In some cultures, China for example, it is bad luck to name the child before it is born. In China, they have a "milk" name for the baby before it is born, to confuse the evil spirits. My wife is from Chicago, and she says that there it is bad luck to tell anyone the baby name.
I don't usually subscribe to luck, but it does make sense to wait until the baby is born. Being born is a tough process, and if god forbid something happens, I don't know if you'd want a reminder of that loss forever on your body.
But the day after your kid is born, go for it!
Yes it is good luck
