...technically, well, yes. it matters on your friend's feelings, unless they're just someone youre using just to get that guy. but still, feelings always matter. if she tells you, and you know that she is lying, that she couldn't care less, then go ahead, but be wary that her feelings still haven't changed. also, you would want to know why exactly she dumped him, as you say. it may be something you would want to know.
