of course! it's terrible! why would you cut an animal's ears off?!?
It is a very painful process, and must be done when a dog is young. It used to be done for hunting dogs, or dogs that would be in combat, so that they would not get their ears ripped, or caught on anything, or latched onto by other animals. Now it is only done for breed standards, and serves no purpouse other then cosmetic. Alot of vets will no longer do this, anyhow. My opinion, but let your pup keep it's floppy ears, what are they hurting?
Some people do choose crop and dock their boxer's ears and tail. Others choose not to do this. Either way is OK. Both sides have their own opinions as to why it should or shouldn't be done.
How much it costs to get a boxer's tail and ears docked will vary from vet to vet. They need to be around 8-10 weeks old.
You can dock the tail and crop the ears of a doberman anywhere in the world. The only thing that you might want to do is to make certain that there are no local ordinances against it.
You really shouldn't cut a boxers tail or ears. Its mean and cruel. It should be natural. Although some breeds need their tails cut boxers don"t
bad
no but depends how bad the boxer's chin is
My boxers farts stink very bad when he eats a strange food or is changing to a different dog food. So the stinkyness may be caused by food it has eaten...
An American Bulldog's tail (and ears) should be left natural.
bad but you knew that
Usually the breeders dock their tails when they are 3 days old as they have no nerve feelings yet. But if you have a dobie that still has a tail and ears it will cost you 500 hundred for the ears to get done and while the dog is under it should only cost you 15-30 dollars for the tail to be done.
Yes, Boxers are born with long tails. Breeders choose to have the dogs tails docked in order to comply with breed standards. They also usually have their ears pricked, except in places like England where they allow the dogs ears to be natural.
