It's not exactly great to remove a tampon quickly with one big tug.
Your vagina walls are going to have small tears as a result of tampons drying-out vaginal mucus membranes so a big tug may pull at this causing discomfort. A big tug if you're not aroused may pull uncomfortably and cause pain in the vaginal muscles too. It's best just to gently and firmly pull out.

∙ 11y agoIt can certainly be uncomfortable. Withdrawing the tampon slowly and smoothly will cause less discomfort. There's no need to be in a hurry.

How do you get a tampon out if you're a virgin I understand getting it in through the opening in your hymen but once it fills wouldn't it be too big to take out fromthe small hole without stretching?
In most women the hymen doesn't cover much of the vaginal opening - often it's nothing more than a narrow cresent shaped piece of tissue on the back of the vaginal opening, thus often at most all that happens is that the tampon gets sutck behind the hymen and it just takes re-angling to remove the tampon. If the hymen covers a little more of the vaginal opening then yes the expanded tampon may stretch the hymen - the hymen stretching is perfectly normal, it shouldn't cause any pain and doesn't mean anything.
