Yes, its bad to say anything like this that may be heard by the listener as a rude word. If your thoughts are on "freakin" rather than the word it sounds like then you are not really in the wrong but you may cause other people to think bad thoughts if they mishear you.

8-25-2010 In the 1960's & 1970's in Canada, this word meant 'freaking' which translated as 'wild & crazy & outrageous' . There was a song titled 'Freak Out' and the word 'freaky' was colloquially used commonly on family TV shows like Laugh-In without being blipped by censors ( i.e. it did NOT mean f - - k'n to the very active censors). However. Things change , especially language. In the USA , the F word has been tarnished & banned from schools to the point that almost ALL F words have become suspect . F words like phooey and Farm and For-Goodness-Sake and Forgiveness.....so lighten up World. A word is a sound when it comes out your mouth, and you should review the CONTEXT the 'word' is used in.....you cannot be responsible for the thoughts of your listeners. Some churches are so over-sensitive they actually suggest you barely speak to one another ( Unity Churches) for fear of misunderstandings. Misinterpretation has existed since the Tower of Babel story in the Old Testament. We've come a long way since the 70's.
