I would go for the braces. Orthodontists are trained to create better alignment for your teeth, having a positive influence on your health for the rest of your life. Two years of braces goes by faster than you can imagine and may not even take that long if you follow your orthodontist's instructions. If you have to wear headgear, elastics, or other devices, do it without fail. Sometimes you have to have teeth extracted before you can even have the braces put on. The extra space created is the room the orthodontist needs to bring your teeth into alignment (or the crowding could be what is causing the misalignment in the first place.)

Either just braces or both. I am 10 yrs old and i got my molds for my retainer yesterday and i will have that for 1 year and a half to 2 years. then i will get my braces for 2 years.

you can only have braces if u have crooked teeth. they may look like their stuff to customize your teeth. people usually have braces around 3rd grade. some kids at my school have braces and they are in 3rd grade - high schoolyea its true there is a 3rd grader who had them.My dentist said i need to come back and get them in 2 years almost pasted and if they are still crooked i need braces.
