Use hot water to wet your face initially. It opens up your pores, so they are better cleansed. Then use cold water to rinse your face off. This closes your pores back up, making them smaller and less noticeable.

∙ 14y agoWarm, actually. Although, it is mostly a matter of opinion. If you're an enviromaniac, you should use cold water to save energy. If you want your soap to work better, you should use warm or hot water. If you have certain health issues, you should avoid prolonged exposure to hot water and, sometimes extreme cold water.
