As a former construction company owner, I was asked that question many times--although maybe not quite so well put together! My answer to potential clients was this: The price is the same, regardless of the time of year. In the fall and winter, when the company is not in overdrive, it will probably be a more pleasurable experience. Oftentimes, instead of just being a number or a job name, more personal attention is given. The crews are not working in 90+ degree weather and are usually in better spirits--and most certainly more rested! The job tends to be completed on schedule and materials are usually in stock.
My experience then would dictate: Not necessarily will the job be any cheaper in the offseason, but it certainly should be a better experience all around!
Best wishes on your project!!
