∙ 15y agoIt depends on how expired your Pizza mix is. One day .. two days .. or already expired for 5 years. Also .. it depends on what kind of pizza mix you've got : dried or not. But for me , every expired food is DANGEROUS . I read a lot in newspaper about people died because eating expired food.

∙ 11y agoThe dry mixes which are included in cake mixes are probably safe to cook and eat, since they are hygienically sealed and contain no moisture. However the main issues are that the longer past the expiry the mix, the less flavoursome it will be - things like cocoa and spices tend to lose their taste fairly quickly after production, meaning the finished cake may not taste as good as intended. The second issue is whether the leavening agents in the cake mix will have lost any of their effectiveness, since these also have a tendency to expire quickly.
If the cake mix includes something similar to premixed butter icing, you should be more cautious about using that if it has expired - foods which contain moisture go off/ change to an odd texture more readily.

∙ 14y agoWell it all really depends. If bugs are in it then definetly no. If mold is in it then no. But if it looks alright and edible, then give it a try! :)

it should be fine for a couple months after if its just dry ingrdients ie flour assorted powders etc

It might be possible as they are a dried mixture and have additives to lengthen their life.
