vehicle lawful if is driven with it's included lawful necessities at time/date of

build as per the laws intact at the time of build.

example 1919 'car' did not require seatbelts by law, so did not/was not

built with seatbelts. example t-sigs not required on 1940 'car' so did not/

was not built with t-signal system, back then, you hung your arm out the

window as appropriate to 'signal' your intention/s/ (which is required to date,

if/when one or more t-sigs on the vehicle you're driving is partially/fully inop)

this pertains to ANY vehicle/motorized on open to the public 'driven' area/street.

so if your veh. had a mirror when built/and required by law when built, then yes, with the exceptions of 'right-hand/passenger side-view mirror not required by

law such as somewhere around 1950's-1960's cars some had r/h side-view

mirrors, some did not, (as it may have been an 'option') but sometime or another, soon it became 'mandatory' by law (don't know what year) all u.s.

built/foreign built for destination/use in America had to have r/h side-view

mirror as well as l/h side-view mirror. see your state's vehicle law statutes.

this info from a non-lawyer, and is of layman's opinion only /legal disclaimer/.
