You can if your parents give you permission. If they're not willing to do that then this relative can request that the court award them custody of you. You will have to prove to the court that it's better for you to live with this relative then your parents. Just because 'I don't get along with my parents' or 'they're too strict' etc is not enough. The courts do not like the override the authority of a parent, and they won't do it without a legitimate reason. it depends on what state you live in, I live in NC and I called the cops the day I turned 16 and told them I was going to live with my aunt and would my mom be able to make me go back home and because i was 16 they said she couldn't do anything about it.
