No its not. He can take her to court and get a DNA test done to prove he is the father. if he is willing to pay for child support he can fight for partial custody/visitation. Since he is under the age of 18 and he impregnated a young single mom there is little to no chance of him getting custody unless he can prove her unfit. Once it is found that he is the father his name will appear on the birth certificate. I have gone through this with my 17 year old son, he got a 18 year old pregnant. If he is serious about being in the babys life for 18 years then go for it. It is worth every penny you might spend.
