There is such a thing as patient/doctor confidentiality, meaning unless you give written permission or signed a paper with names and other doctors you allow to access your private health information and medication list, no one is allowed, unless court ordered of course, your personal information from your doctors visit. Notwithstanding, we all know that people have friends and family who have connections and/or know people who work at places in the position to get into your private file and get someone else the information they want. That's how all these actors, politicians, anyone of front page quality private info get out/leaked. But those people are risking there jobs/career and ever finding another good job with that on there record. Its illegal and you can sue someone, business, state over it. I hope this hasn't happened to you and that you are not thinking of doing it. If its happened to you, be careful investigating it, document everything, use emails and calls from cell phone for proof.
