You can't get the djarum black cigarettes in stores in the US. But you still able to purchase clove cigarettes by onlineThe new regulation has ban clove cigarettes to be distributed in all states but you can still purchase them online since the law addresses the sale of these cigarettes ONLY in the US .The law also doesn't ban private citizens from possessing and smoking the clove cigarettes. You just cannot find and buy them on your local store.

No, they have not been discontinued. They have been banned. Obama recently signed a bill in banning all flavored and clove cigarettes. You can still import them, this is expensive and I'm not sure if it is legal or not. Obama really sucks huh? You can personally smoke them, but you can not sell them. I get them at the duty free stores by the California and Mexico border. You can only get 1 carton per person per trip and you have to be returning from Mexico for it to be duty free. Yes. Clove cigarettes are made with tobacco, like normal cigarettes, often mixed with minced clove buds. The tobacco blend is then treated with a proprietary compound (which includes clove oil) to give them their distinctive taste. In many brands, after the cigarette is rolled, the paper is treated with a compound that may include saccharine to give the paper it's distinctive sweet flavor. (Just the end of the filter in Djarum Blacks & some others, while in other kretek's, the entire cigarette is treated.) They have tar, nicotine, and other harmful elements just like any other cigarette. Tests indicate that the levels of tar and nicotine is comparable to that found in a 'normal' full flavor cigarette made in the US.
