This person is an idiot. In NSW foxes are considered a nuisance animal rather than a pest animal like other states. You can own one without a permit as long as it gets desexed at a young age. There is even 2 rescue groups that I know of that situate on rescuing fox kits and adopting them out to suitable owners. Domesticating is a much more humane way of dealing with a problem that people started. Below I have listed the 2 rescue groups I know of. Cheers
