Iowa Code 321.422 states that no one can drive a vehicle with a device that displays or reflects a red light in front of the vehicle, except for individuals who drive emergency vehicles and school buses. Iowa Code 321.404 states that rear signal lights must be red or amber. Iowa Code 321.423 states that blue lights cannot be used anywhere on a car unless it's an authorized fire or other emergency vehicle.
As long as the lights that are required by law are functioning there should not be a problem as long as NO blue or red lights of any type show to the front!

Im pretty sure its legal,but if they were strobing or flashing they could cause a distaction to drivers. When i was in PA and OH i saw some cars and motorcycles with steady beam led lights.. soyou should be fine.:)

yes strobe lights are legal so long as they are not used with flashing red /blue lights . Only emergency state vehicles are authorized to use such lighting for emergency use only. Personal vehicles can use or obtain strobe lighting only and can not be used with any other colored flashing lights.
